Welcome to Day 4 of our Kundalini Yoga journey! 🌿
We began by grounding into stability with the Root Chakra 🌍, awakening flow in the Sacral Chakra 🌊, igniting fire in the Solar Plexus 🔆, and now we rise into the Heart Chakra Anahata 💚, the center of love, compassion, and connection.
💚 What is the Heart Chakra?
The Heart Chakra (Anahata) is located at the center of the chest and is associated with love, compassion, balance, and connection.
Element: Air 🌬️
Qualities when balanced: Love, kindness, forgiveness, empathy, peace, and inner harmony.
Signs of imbalance: Loneliness, jealousy, resentment, grief, or difficulty giving/receiving love.
When Anahata is open, we experience deep compassion for ourselves and others, and we live from a place of unconditional love.
✨ Day 4 Kundalini Practices for the Heart Chakra.
Here are three self-practices to open and balance Anahata:
1️⃣ Camel Pose (Ustrasana)
Kneel on your mat with knees hip-width apart.
Place hands on your heels or lower back for support.
Inhale, lifting the chest and opening the heart upward.
Hold for 1–2 minutes, breathing deeply into the chest.
This posture opens the chest, expands the lungs, and stimulates the heart center.
2️⃣ Mantra Practice – Om Namah Shivaya.
Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and place your hands on your heart.
Chant “Om Namah Shivaya” for 3 minutes, feeling the vibration in your chest.
Allow the mantra to soften and open your heart space.
3️⃣ Loving-Kindness Meditation.
Sit in stillness with hands at your heart.
Take slow, deep breaths.
Silently repeat:
“May I be happy. May I be peaceful. May all beings be happy. May all beings be peaceful.”
Continue for 3–5 minutes, radiating love outward.
📝 Journal Prompt for Day 4
After your practice, reflect:
“How can I open my heart more fully to love, both for myself and for others?”
💫 Closing Reflection.
As you complete Day 4, honor your heart as the bridge between the physical and spiritual. The Heart Chakra teaches us that true strength comes from softness, and true healing begins with love.
✨ Return to these practices anytime you feel closed off, heavy-hearted, or disconnected from love.
Tomorrow, we rise to the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) 🔵 The center of truth, expression, and authentic voice.
Om Namah Shivaya. May your heart shine with love and compassion. 💚
