🌿 7 Days of Kundalini Yoga Practice – Day 1: Root Chakra (Muladhara) 🌿

Welcome to Day 1 of our 7-Day Kundalini Yoga Journey!

Over the next week, we will move step by step through the seven chakras, awakening energy, balancing the mind, and connecting deeply with the self.

Today, we begin at the foundation: The Root Chakra – Muladhara.

🔴 What is the Root Chakra?

The Root Chakra, known as Muladhara, is located at the base of the spine. It represents our foundation, stability, and sense of safety. When this chakra is balanced, we feel grounded, supported, and confident in our daily life. When blocked, it can create fear, anxiety, and insecurity.

Day 1- Kundalini Practices for the Root Chakra.

Here are three simple yet powerful practices to awaken and balance Muladhara:

1️⃣ Spinal Flex in Easy Pose.

  • Sit cross-legged with a straight spine.

  • Hold your shins and gently flex your spine forward as you inhale, and back as you exhale.

Continue this rhythmic motion for 2 minutes.

This movement energizes the spine and awakens the root energy.

2️⃣ Mantra Chanting – Om Namah Shivaya.

  • Sit comfortably with eyes closed.

  • Chant “Om Namah Shivaya” aloud or silently for 3 minutes.

Focus on the base of your spine as the vibration flows through you.

This sacred mantra grounds your energy and connects you with divine support.

3️⃣ Grounding Breath & Visualization.

  • Sit in stillness, hands on your knees.

  • Breathe deeply into your lower belly for 2–3 minutes.

Visualize strong roots extending from your body deep into the earth, giving you stability and strength.

🌱 Journal Prompt for Day 1

Take a few minutes after your practice to reflect and write:

“Where in my life do I feel most grounded, and where do I need more stability?”

💫 Closing Reflection.

As you complete Day 1, honor the foundation you are building. Just as a tree cannot stand tall without strong roots, our spiritual journey begins by grounding ourselves deeply into the earth.

✨ Repeat these practices daily for grounding whenever you feel unsteady.,

Tomorrow we’ll rise to the Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) to explore flow, creativity, and emotional balance.

Om Namah Shivaya. You are safe. You are supported. You are grounded.
